All Virgos Are Mad.

Perhaps Yevon had been wrong all along to brush off Ajora’s claims as a saint; before him stood the same child that eluded all of Yevon’s attempts to keep him from harm, to play the martyr role. Yet somehow he had lived through it. For the time being, Yevon had no desire to question it.

It would not do to have the saint staring at the ground- Yevon wanted to see the child’s eyes. And so gently he lifted the boy’s chin, only to be greeted with an expression of fear and trepidation. “… Why are you hiding from me, Ajora?”

Though his eyes met with the other, they shifted off to the side. What could Ajora say. In his mind, a few things ran across. Oh, terribly sorry Yevon for escape your hold so that I may walk into my death. Or how about this, I apologize for being such a terrible student in learning your magick. Instead, he huffed and bit the bottom of his lip.

He hesitated before finally speaking. “Perhaps it is because I fear a repeat of my past.” His voice grew softer, to a murmur in hopes that Yevon would not hear it. “That you would not hurt me again.”
